Nicholson Chemical (P) Ltd, a part of Arun Group of Companies, was incorporated in the year 1998, with a capacity of 2MT/Day. During the initial days of production mostly laundry grade was being manufactured and the produce was distributed through a well developed network of dealers and distributors. Though the technical grade was being produced in low quantity, it had acceptance with the masterbatch producers and there was always a shortage of supple. The shrinking laundry market and the growing industrial market, marked the beginning of the new era of the company.

The company went in for expansion, in the year 2007, and the turnover increased to 4MT/Day. But the focus was to cater to the industrial market both domestic and international. The company imported supertex 140 Bead Mill from Switzerland, to produce the finest quality of Ultramarine Blue Pigment. Thereby becoming the first company in India to have inducted Supertex Bead Mill in its manufacturing process. Ever since, the market has widened further and the product has had acceptability in the international market.

The ever increasing demand is forcing to undertake further expansion programme.

The Company is situated in Bankura District of West Bengal, this site was chosen for its proximity to Metropolitan city Kolkata, and its port Haldia and Kolkata Port. The place is well connected by National Highway.
